For those of you not in the know, AVTechNo deleted all of his works from NND just yesterday, with the exception of collaborations and mixing jobs (though songs were still available on his YT account and other places ( Read more... )

Didn't the KAT-TUN song come out later, though?

Yyyyyep, which would put KAT-TUN at fault.

ETA: Or well, probably not the boys themselves, but whoever "composed" that song and gave it to them.

Oh, okay, I misinterpreted, I thought he deleted everything because people were implying he plagiarized.

Though now I'm confused, why would deleting evidence help him...

I just made an ETA to clarify that, yes! o/

But IDK, my guess is at this point he isn't so concerned about being plagiarized and it's more like, preventive measures in case people try to do that with his works again? I have no idea how legal processes for this kind of thing would work.

Yeah, that's an odd reaction to being plagirized. >_>

See my reply to sung, but yeah, I mean. This is KAT-TUN. I don't know if AV would stand a chance against them even if he tried.

I know! I don't even like most of his songs, but I feel so bad for him right now.

I really hope he has some recourse in this--like you said above, ugh, it's gotta be hard fighting a ~huge pop sensation~, but this just sucks.

Personally, I don't think his reaction's that odd; it's gotta be upsetting, and maybe he just had a moment of "fuck it, what's the point" or something along those lines. That's how I'd feel, I think, if I made a song that a pop act ripped off to make a hit single.

Yeah, I def. think it was a "heat of the moment" decision, too, especially given how much he apologized in the post. And like... lol, I don't think he even explicitly stated this was the reason for the deletion in the post itself? Just "kay storytime kids" but I automatically interpreted it as such.

Siiiiigh.

song plagarism makes babies cry.

Surprisingly, I had never actually heard DYE before, just DYE_2 off of SN3.

I'm not fully familiar with AVTechNo nor KAT-TUN but damn, this is horrible. I wonder how it all happened, if the song was truly copied. Poor guy either way :C

Seriously. It's bad enough that there was plagiarism, but with a band this huge...
