Seriously.
You're completely changing the design without prior notice, which results in LJ being down - again, without prior warning.
Now that the deed is done, there still is no official announcement.
You want feedback on what I think about the new design and the way you treat your paying customers?

But I'm glad there's a way to change back to the old version! Go you! :)

ETA: Sorry, me again. I think I understand now. I thought there was some problem with the lj cut, but (like you said, and I kind of didn't read it carefully enough) it's the lj cut *text* that doesn't appear anymore. So it's just showing three dots?

What a truly horrible reading experience. The giant type alone... It doesn't feel like reading, it doesn't flow, how incredibly awful. Blocky, utilitarian, too large...
Thank you angelita26 for providing the link to the instrux. I got it done on my desktop and the change-back showed up on my iPad as well. Whew.

I remember vimeo changing it's design (though that was a long time ago) and lots of people hated it, and I still think the old version was better. And at the beginning you could always switch back to the old version, which I always did, but then a few weeks later, everyone *had* to use the new version and the old simply wasn't available anymore.
I always think I'm getting old when websites change their design, because I pretty much always hate it. I really can't remember a time where I thought "Oh, great! A new and better design!". Also, you never find anything anymore -- why do they have to always change where certain buttons are? Just so that I have to search the whole website to find it again?
