Pre-Thanksgiving roundup

Hooray, five-day weekend! (My Monday classes have all been moved.) In the past short week I have not accomplished much schoolwork (that's my weekend goal), but I have watched Heroes, House, and disc 1 of Season 3 of the L-Word, which is really quite addictive. Having hunted them, I can safely attest that turkeys are by far one of the dumbest creatures ever grace God's green earth. But they can be tasty!

In Urbana, Illinois, there was a group of 3 turkeys that used to wander around people's backyards, including ours. They were not scared of people, and were mean and agressive. They chased Jennifer when she was on a run one day, and they chased our friend Dave when he was riding his bike, so I feel totally fine eating them.

I shall keep that in mind for next year.

(Also, neither of us particularly want to cook or eat a whole turkey, and Jen doesn't even like turkey. Chicken is yummier.)

Those are very practical reasons. I used to not like turkey, and prefer chicken, so I can totally understand. And when Jennifer and I had Thanksgiving at our place last year, the only reason that we had turkey was that her mom and sister were there and cooked it (Jennifer's a vegetarian, and I'm no cook), so I totally understand not wanting to deal with it.
