Yay Santa Cruz?

So today my dad asked ifI wanted to go down to Santa Cruz, and I did, so off we went. I suspect he likes Santa Cruz. So we ate at Saturn. Hooray for grilled cheese with avocado. Plus I ate most of a Mini Madness, so that's enough chocolate for about a month. I was craving chocolate; I'm not anymore. (The Mini Madness is the smaller version of the ( Read more... )

I echo your Saturn-loving. I was down in SC a little over a week ago, and had dinner at the Saturn. Pesto burger was as good as ever, and the mini-madness was very good. I don't think I have gotten one before, or at least not one all for me. I don't think I finished all the mousee, because it was just too much. But very good.
As for the weather, I was wandering around in a t-shirt. I can't imagine that I have changed that much with just 3 weeks of non-West Coast winter under my belt, so I think that really, 62 is warm enough for a t-shirt (when there isn't wind, that is). When I was there, I noticed all the women wearing skimpy tank tops, and going "Ah, Santa Cruz, how I love thee," so maybe I just didn't notice all the bundled up people (except the person I had dinner with, who I made fun of for being all wrapped up).

Hooray for Saturn. I couldn't finish a Mini Madness either.

I don't think I would have been wearing a t-shirt if I hadn't just been in Massachusetts. (Last spring I remember being so hot when it finally got up to, like, 35 or 40, that I contemplated wearing a t-shirt.) I did see some skimpy tanktops in SC, but there were a lot of bundled-up people too. Which is just so weird.
