Watching Firefly in preparation for, uh, more Firefly

Since it's sort of like the beginning of my summer vacation (minus the incomplete), I decided that a good thing to do would be to rewatch every episode of Firefly before I go see the Serenity movie tomorrow. Special showing. The movie does not open until September 30, because they didn't want to compete with any of the big summer movies; it was pushed back from April. They'll probably be doing more showings sometime, I'm guessing. Or Ebay can scalp you a ticket.

I really like "They" too. I also liked "Just A Ride" from the radio, and was convinced to buy the album after I heard "Flying High" used in an episode of Wonderfalls (which you should watch the DVD of if you haven't already; it's a really good show). Unfortunately, those three are the only good songs on the album, IMHO.

K/I was the only pairing I ever really saw in the show; I thought they were oh-so-slashy. Yet the only slash people write about them is under 5k, and it saddens me. I wish there was good long plotty slash -- like case stories, except they're on the wrong side of the law. I wonder why it never got popular.

Yay Serenity. I'm excited about it.
