According to CNN, astronomers have discovered an earth-like planet.  It resembles our world in many ways, except it orbits a giant red sun and has higher gravity than earth.  In other words,  they've discovered Krypton!

No, dammit! Kryptonite is exploded pieces of Krypton! They can't discover both of them in the same week! Make them stick to canon!

hmmm... not that DC ever stuck to canon, mind you. I mean, so far they've destroyed the universe three times in a vain attempt to create canon, and I don't think they are there yet. All I know is I'm stealing a chunk of that kryptonite stuff. I mean, when Superman shows up and starts saving the day, I'll have beaten the rush. Maybe when I beat him I'll have a front-page picture on the Daily Planet...
