Prosperity Challenge - 8.4 (Days/Years 22-24 - Haynes)
When we last left Cheryl Haynes, her husband Lou had just died, and she was left alone to raise their newborn baby, Taylor. Let's see how she's been doing.
Cheryl was lucky enough to be able to stay home after Taylor was born, thanks to the inheritance she'd received from Lou.
Caring for her baby was the only thing she focused on. He was so adorable, and so helpless. She had no time to feel sorry for herself, although she was lonely for adult company.
She and Taylor both slept in Eli's old room - the double bed in the master bedroom seemed too big.
She was out one morning gardening while Taylor napped inside, when a man walked up and introduced himself to her. His name was Komei Cox, and he said that he couldn't believe he'd never seen her around before.
One thing led to another very quickly; Cheryl had always fallen in love that way.
Komei was good with Taylor, too. Cheryl invited him to Taylor's birthday party a few months after they'd begun dating.
Seeing Taylor develop real features from the shapeless face he'd had as a baby reminded Cheryl of Lou. She thought Taylor was going to end up with his nose.
Taylor loved Komei, and Cheryl made a quick decision.
She asked Komei to marry her on the spot. He accepted, and they exchanged rings right there in the kitchen.
Komei had enough money to remodel the little pre-fab house Lou and Eli had lived in for years.
They thought they would need the extra space pretty quickly.
