ROTFLMAO! Orlando is very wicked. I have to say though, Sean's MUCH braver than me! I wouldn't let the damn thing into the house even. *shudders* I have to say though, his punishment really isn't going to be much incentive for Orlando not to sing the damn song though. *g*

Sorry to give you the creepy-crawlies, hon! It was just a bit of post-Halloween lunacy inspired by a real event. I OWN that pumpkin, given to me by my Mom. The first year we had it, my hubby did the exact same thing as Sean, though he didn't forget, he just didn't know about it in the first place! And yeah, I did EXACTLY, down to the very letter, what Orli did. That's when I came up with the silly song, although since hubby yelled out "Oh jeez!" instead of "Oh shite!" I did have to change a word for it to work with the fic, ;P!

I'm pleased you liked the ending, as well as the song. This whole fic was inspired by a very similar event in real life. I actually own that pumpkin and I came up with that ridiculous version of the song several years ago when my husband picked the thing up to put it away and got scared by the little plastic spider that he'd never noticed before! He yelled and threw it on the floor, muttering about the spider, which he thought was REAL!
I proceeded to collapse on the floor in hysterics, and thus, the song was born! I still tease him with it every year when we put out the Halloween paraphernalia! Yes, I know, I'm very naughty, ;D!
