I am thinking that the reason Rob reacted so strongly was because he really was feeling love for you and to be told that you were an old perv hurt him so badly that he lashed out. His lashing out so violently, IMO, really indicates how strong his feelings are for you and how close he felt to you. I hope you give him another chance. Remember: all this that happened was not Rob's fault in any way and I think if I found out someone I had feelings for on the internet was revealed as an older perv, I would be so crushed, hurt and angry that I would act irrationally at first. It would hurt so much!!!

thanks for writing! i really do try to see it from his point of view, thats why i tried so hard to patch things up (and we are friends and close again now) but i don't agree it wasnt his fault in any way - he never discussed it with me, just blindly believed what his mum said out of the blue and didnt question it - remember nothing was "revealed", it was only a possibility disproved by the police. He didnt look at all the evidence that I'm not what they wondered and he tried to turn mutual friends against me and I felt so betrayed

yes well thats what the cops were concerned with ... once they realised i wasnt 50 or something! so i had to say i wouldnt contact rob till he was 16 n i didnt. We still dont know what the hell they thought was so wrong tho. I cant help wishing they'd found some of the stuff from the REAL pervs Rob knows ...
