"Breakfast in bed while on vacation is entirely traditional," he says serenely, unfolding a napkin from around a knife-and-fork set and placing it at the side of one plate.
Simon unfolds the napkin from around the second fork-and-knife set, puts the napkin across his lap, and reaches to cut a piece of his own French toast.
