Not feeling the iPad

Apple came out with a tablet today, iPad. It's shiny, but I'm not impressed. It's a giant iPhone. The iPhone is awesome because it fits in a pocket. And 64 gb (the largest capacity!) is simply not big enough unless all video is streamed and one limits the music collection stored on it. My music alone, which does not even represent the books of CDs

If it could fold in half and then become small-book-sized I might be interested, but I'm still holding out for the movie version of the Hitchhiker's Guide...

I had strongly considered it, but it's been a good ovary month. ;)

If Apple starts making electronic tampons I will smash my laptop into eeny pieces and take up Windows again (or try Linux and hope its much better than in 2002 when last I tried in earnest to use it).
