Lotte Kancho Kissing Cookies

I know some of you know why I busted out laughing when I saw this on the shelf at my local pan-Asian grocery store. And bought it because it's pain-free kancho for 79¢. Most appropriate is the look on the lower left cookie which is missing its ass. Bwahahaha!

I'm guessing the 'cho' in Kancho is for .... CHOcolate! Crazy, right? The japanese do that too, with mixing different words together and shortening them. They probably have no idea what the Japanese meaning is.

Just like the Japanese candy, Dew Dew. (Say it out loud...) The theory there is that if dew is good, twice as much dew is better!

And Calpis Water, which had to be renamed Calpico because of what it sounds like said out loud. Not to mention the sport's drink Pocari Sweat (makes sense that you drink it when you sweat, but it doesn't help that it's a slightly cloudy, uncolored liquid). I love browsing the aisles and seeing what silly names I can find.

Pocari Sweat does taste a bit like sweat in my opinion. But when you're dehydrated and low on electrolytes it tastes great! It's actually a drink for when you're playing sports instead of Gatorade and PowerAde being the drinks of choice of tuckers and marathon couch potatoes.
