how have you been?

I can't believe it's been a month since I last updated on LJ. ^^; Lots to talk about, though I shall try to things brief. I'm also interested in how you have been, since my reading of lj has not been as thorough as I would have liked. You can thank insanefriends for this post on the state of silvermuse. *hug* XD

I participated in saiunkoku_fic's holiday exchange. I'll ( Read more... )

Will try to catch you on some other time then. ♥ Good luck with Japanese! I have a quiz tomorrow too - should probably look at the words. ^^; What are you doing in class now? We just started chapter 8.

Yes, I know I'm crazy. I still feel guilty about dropping though, it sets me back a whole year for Chinese.

Love you too! <33333333333333333

Answer: I am a terrible CLAMP fan. Also, CLAMP pulled too many gratuitous plot twists for my liking. Though I do want to see Tokyo Revelation OVA part 2, and that might make me want to catch up on the series. I'm sorry, I really would love to geek over it with you, especially the KuroFai. I have heard of Kobato, which is related to Chobits, I believe? It looks really cute, though I haven't found scans. Do you recommend it?

What's your favorite icon and why?

"too many gratuitous plot twists"....YOU JUST SUMMED UP THE PAST 10 CHAPTERS. THANK YOU.

...studying goes well. And of the little I have read of Kobato, I approve.

Answer: favorite ever? or favorite of mine?
because I'd need a lot of time for favorite ever.
Favorite of mine would probably be...(thisistough) The Bert and Ernie one.

QUESTION: WHEN WILL YOU WRITE MOAR FIC?

realized I forgot why:
because it makes me smile everytime I look at it. And they were original undercover canon.

Good luck with your studying!

Question: Which is the colour you identify with more - red or blue?

It's a simple question, but I always think it's a revealing one.

Thank you very much! I should be studying for Japanese now - katakana is the bane of my existence in that class.

Hmm, that's a really tough choice. I think red is the color that I best represent, though I strive to be blue, if that makes any sense. ^^; Not that this is your question, but why do you think that red vs blue is a revealing question?

What issue are you most concerned about right now?

sakanagi February 4 2008, 05:20:29 UTC
Well - I'm not sure; there's no specific reason I can name, but I think it's something to do with the common prevailing associations of the colours. Vaguely one of those yin-yang, fire-water sorts of things, about how people see themselves, if that makes sense. ^^; I didn't want to ask 'which is your favourite colour', because that misses out the fun part, and I imagine most people would pick blue then anyway.

Which issue? That's tricky. With personal issues, I'm most concerned with studying, money and career matters. On the wider scale, though, it's got to be global warming. End of the world = not good!

Next question for you: Imagine you've just written the best book in the world, ever. Which genre is it, and which age group is it aimed at?

It's really surprising that blue is such a universally popular color. It seems like a "safe choice" for some reason. Color theory is a really interesting subject, though I haven't read much about it. Have you?

Good luck with your career and studying! Gobal warming, hmm, have we discussed this before? Your answer seems familiar for some strange reason. I agree about global warming being an extremely serious issue in which not enough is being done. However, I'm torn about it being the issue to be most concerned about, because its consequences are far in the future whereas there are events threatening the existence of people, lifestyles, and environments around the world.

What an awesome question! It would be a fantasy book with lots of science. I would want it to be accessible to both children, teens, and adults - one of those timeless books that you can read as both a child and an adult and find new things in each thing. As an example, I'd cite Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game. I may not like the author as a person, but the ( ... )

If current legislation was amended and you were able to run for President of the United States at 35, would you? Why or why not? (And no cop-out answers like "I couldn't handle it!" because you could.)

silvermuse89 February 5 2008, 20:13:29 UTC
No, I would not. Not just because I don't think I could handle it, but because the entire process of becoming President discourages the best candidates from becoming involved. Politics is a dirty game in America, and the public scrutiny has become absurd. Also, there would be no way for an Asian, atheist female to win the election, let alone even one delegate. But I would consider being an adviser to the President, where much of the real power is now concentrated. :)

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Science Olympiad was such wonderful times. *.* Practically no one returned to the high school team though.
Hm, what region are you? (If you're central, do you hate East Brunswick, like every other school does?)

Ooh, you did Science Olympiad in middle school? My school district only has the high school level, though I did one year of B level at my old school.

I'm from NY, specifically Erie-Niagara, so there's no universally hated school. Overall in NY though, Fayetteville-M always wins States, and usually does great at Nationals too.

What's your favorite type of story to read?
