On commenting

So, I'm catching up like a good little girl and I read fannishliss' entry here that basically says how we should try to comment/review on people's work more. I totally agree. As it says in her entry, we all work hard on our fics/fanart/manips/fanvids and we do it out the joy we get out of it. We share it because we want others to enjoy it as well. This is a good post!

I can't write at all, and am in awe of those that can write fic. I haven't had time to read recently, but I try to always leave a comment on everything I've read and enjoyed. I figure it's the least I can do for someone that spent hours writing something that I've consumed! (It's also why I'm not the biggest fan of tumblr- I find commenting on their unwieldy, and it bugs me I can't do much more than click "like".)

I even have a spreadsheet on what I need to read and comment on that hasn't been updated in forever, ugh.

Yay for people that make awesome things!

I'm so far behind, so very often, that I admit to skimming posts at times and not commenting, but I always try to leave a comment on fic/art etc, as I know how much effort people put into those, and I know how much comments mean to me when I find time to write
