Cool!!! I actually believe the servant's ball will be the last thing we see, especially as more and more press has said "Will Bates make it home in time for the servant's ball?"
Also, given the press' accounts of leaving the screening...I HAVE to believe it ends on an upbeat note and THAT would be M/M's reunion (and possible proposal). THAT would have me "hooting and hollering" and "walking on air," not Bates' trial. :p
I hope it does end on the servants ball and M/M's reunion too, but I've heard that at the end of the special we're not supposed to know who lives and who dies, so I'm really not sure.
Just so long as Mary/Matthew reconcile, I don't care whereabouts in the episode it is!
I'm not sure about the funeral. In fact, I'm hoping it's just a rumour and we don't actually get one - they're far too depressing in a Christmas special!
Yes, this is just how it must be. Snow twirling, fade to black on snow twirling. No funeral. I am not interested in there being a Yuletide funeral. Period.
YES! Matthew spinning Mary around, the snow keeps on falling and the episode ends (obviously after he's proposed and she's accepted!) That would be fantastic!!
I don't want a funeral either - I hope it's just a rumour, or at least for a very, very minor character.
