These days I regularly pray for the safety of Barack Obama. The train wreck, otherwise known as the McCain/Palin campaign, has stirred up the worst in some of their supporters. Um, yeah, that is a HORRIBLY awkward response from McCain! So is he suggesting that Arab-Americans can't be decent family men and citizens? It's not like the woman called Obama a terrorist. Although, to be fair, that's most likely what was implied by her comment, McCain's response is still very foot-in-mouth. Yikes.

I heard or read the perfect description of John McCain and his campaign, "20th century mentality fighting a 21st century battle." This week's debate didn't help change my impression that he's old and out of touch.
