My Here & Now

Juannie and I have been busy choosing, spending, assembling and organizing. We finally have a functional and comfortable living room with our first bookshelf post-Katrina. There's nothing on the walls yet. That's my latest project. I am selecting the best of my photography and printing and framing it for display all over the house

Those flowers are beautiful! The idea of using your own photos is a great idea - I'm highly in favour of people making their own art.

I like the blue colour in those pillows and your couch looks comfy-wumfy.

We've bought some very cool photos by others over the years and we think the pics I've taken will work well with them.

Blue and green are in the rug but it's hard to see. I wanted some vibrant colors to play off the mocha sofa and contrast with the yellow wall color. The couch is quite comfy. Very good for naps!

OMG, we have that same bookshelf, the library bookshelf. we use ours as a nightstand. Got ours at Target. I love it.

I am now addicted to Overstock.com where we got our bookshelf and several other items. I am so happy with ours. It's so sturdy and holds lots of books and decorative items.

Such a simple thing to have a bookshelf but so important! I know you understand.

I feel like I've hit lotto by finally being at a point where we can buy things like a bookshelf again.
