A bit of an update. It's mostly all baby stuff, some house stuff.

Have a picture of Tegan devouring a monkey:

For what its worth, I absolutely found the 6 to 8 week point the hardest. I was back at work, and exhausted from that and goldengrove was exhausted from Hamishing all day. It was tiring and hard and frustrating and used up all the pitiful resources we had left. It took a little while to stabilise and then get easier, but it did happen.

I'd no idea you and Chaos were housebuilding - is this on the awkwardly steep block you had several years back, or somewhere else?

Also. BABY! SQUEE!

Two doors up from that block.
We bought a pre-existing place and are renovating like mad.
We have to be out of the current rental by 15th of March. We've set 22nd of Feb as the goal to move ourselves in by (with the rest of our stuff to follow over the following 3 weeks).
At the moment we have no bathroom or kitchen, so the race is on to get at least minimal paneling into the kitchen, and more importantly, to get the bath installed and ready for use.

The joys of renovation... Good luck in getting the place habitable before you go insane - or before Tegan is old enough to get "helpy" about the work.

(Toddler help and construction just don't mix well in my imagination.... )

we can have the washing machine outside as well

You're moving to Tennessee?

Seriously though, that is a gorgeous little baby thing. I think between the newborn and the home ownership, you are now officially a grownup.
