Yesterday, I phoned the RSPCA at Mornington Peninsula and discovered they had kittens up for adoption. So I drove down to Frankston with

A Mauritian friend of mine recommended me an Australian band called, simply, "The Bird", and showed me their website. Being rather under on green (the usual Saturday night spliff-session) at the time, the music we found on their site - an eclectic fusion of drum'n'bass, acid jazz, electronic swing, and even some Goa trance - was absolutely awesome. Further searching revealed only that they're based in Sydney: we couldn't find out much else. Have a listen if you have any spare time, and if you're able to find an album or anything else by them, by all means let me know! :)

Comatose - I'm quite fond of Gackt and the Faint, although as far as new stuff is concerned, A Static Lullaby was very good.
Hack - I went through the same things in school. In short fiction, it seemed like everyone was doing something post-apocalyptic, and I was also kind of the black sheep in Painting. (I was the only Abstract/art brut painter in the class:) Just own the work. If there's something you dislike, change it. Besides, different is fun.
