David Eddings passed away last night. I must admit that I only ever loved the Belgariad, and never got into his later writing. But I really did love the Belgariad, and he actually did have female characters who did things like wield incrediable power and transform into wolves. So it is hard not to shed a tear.

The Long Weekend
Went snorkeling on the weekend with brandtotter and dilph, saw a weedy sea dragon, pufferfish, lots of other little fish of various kinds off Portsea Pier. Before that we hiked for an hour and half up and down a more secluded beach, and found a large number of shells and interesting bits and pieces. Kittens

Yesterday, I phoned the RSPCA at Mornington Peninsula and discovered they had kittens up for adoption. So I drove down to Frankston with brandtotter and we picked up my mother and drove her to the lost cats home there. Last night, while Spicks and Specks and Dr Who was on, I really sat down and did a tonne of pencilling work on thaily's commission. This involved a lot of background work, at least for me.
