Hi and a happy new year to you!
First, is the date accurate on this post? Because it's the first I've seen of it and fortunately, I received an email alert about it today, otherwise I'd have missed it. Did the Grinch hide your fics again or is it something else?
Second, I'm sooooooooo excited about it. I might have squealed when I saw it pop. But now... I'm torn. It was written for me and I'm dying to read it, but you say it might spoil Collared... And I wouldn't want to. Tell me, is it that spoilery? I don't know what to do!!! (But part of me knows there's no way I'll be able to wait.)

Personally? I don't think it's that spoilery. I think "Shandor" was more spoilery than this one. But, I always like to warn for that sort of deal. I see some 'spoilers', but then again, I -know- where the story is headed and what's going to happen. I just re-read it again, trying to see it from your view, and I don't think it'll spoil anything. Honestly. ^_^

And the date... *sighs* I was going through and pulling up all the data on all the fics I've written for 2011 for a meme tomorrow, and couldn't find this, and dug and dug and dug, and everything I found said I posted it on the 18th, and I finally found it. It's another that had gotten set to private. /o\ I thought I had found them all. I unlocked it, and crossed my fingers that the 'collared' tag would make it appear to anyone keeping special tabs on it, and I was going to post tomorrow about it being found. ^_ ( ... )

So of course I've read it! This is really surprising and interesting. I like your take on young John and Bobby. How candid John is, something he doesn't get to be on the show after Mary's death; and this meeker version of Bobby after an altogether different life. And then of course there's the plan: so what if John had applied his single-mindedness and dedication toward something totally unlike the Hunt, something positive? That would make for a very different John, a very different upbringing for Dean and a very different family business, I guess ( ... )
