the posting project, day one

Jul 03, 2009 11:33

First, an explanation: I glanced back over the volume and pattern of my entries so far this year, and in doing so my suspicion was confirmed: I'm becoming far too haphazard about a number of things, including but not limited to writing and posting. I don't like that. Ergo, it's time to change it ( Read more... )

→ Why play: I'd started watching the show and talking about it on a regular basis with Lynne, and one night when I signed onto chat she pinged me with the news that the original players of Sam and Dean were giving them up for adoption. There was no way we could pass up that chance, and so all that was left was for us to decide which one of us would play which of the boys. It didn't take much discussion for us to realize that she was a better fit for Dean, and me for Sam. I adore both the boys, but I think more like Sam does in a lot of ways (including but not limited to having prior legal interest/experience, and having left home and family for college on full scholarship at around age 17 ( ... )

Your Sam is brilliant, by the way. And I know how hard it is to pick just one scene!

Izzie adores the Winchesters, of course (not that it has anything to do with her mun being slightly biased towards them already, cough cough).

Yay for OOMs, though!

Thank you! Your Izzie, by the way, has made me actually plan to seek out Grey's to watch -- I'd been avoiding it in the same way that I avoid House, which is to say like the plague, but she's a fascinating character.

→ Why play: I've loved this character since I first encountered the books, many many years ago. She was always my favorite from the series. I think it was Becca who talked me into actually apping her, though ( ... )

*hugs you lots*

Between travel and insomnia, I've been less around than usual, but when I am back fully online, we should talk.

Now with formatting, as I've discovered that it's hard to read these answers without it...

→ Why play: Um. You know, that's a really good question. I don't exactly remember what inspired me to play her, in fact. I thiiiiiink it had something to do with picking up Susan Delgado and wanting to balance that, and thinking that I'd not tried to do a real evil character - either that or it was a spinoff of the surprise!DiR characters that were being presented to Gen and Rym at the time, or a combination of the two. I never, never, NEVER expected things to turn out as they did.

→ Favorite scene: Canonically, that would have to be -- there are two. One is as Blodwen, and is the scene on the train and the trial/challenge immediately following. The other is in the Lost Land, and is as the Rider.

→ Favorite original: Oh good heavens. Ha. HOW CAN I POSSIBLY CHOOSE? The twenty-one days leading up to that first Twelfth Night alone were filled with so much incredibleness, and then when she came back and met the Doctor and ( ... )

Ohhhh, the surprise!DiR characters. *giggling lots* You are ALL EVIL, which of course you knew.

(I don't remember why Blodwen either, for the record. Both of those sound plausible to me! As does wanting to balance out the sheer amount of Team Light we all had going.)
