Bad books

Why would a book be judged by it's cover? We are all guilty of such. Given a selection of books, the most obvious choice is the new, crisp, clean volume. But that is not always the case. Sometimes the best books are ragged, stained, greasy. This is for a good reason, However. A bad book is most often only read once, if even cover to cover. No, I ( Read more... )

then the mere act of gazing upon my worn face would earn you a black mark on some secret list ominous men in black suits keep to establish a well deserved fear of authority. But I would grin like a sonofabitch anyways.
