Why would a book be judged by it's cover? We are all guilty of such. Given a selection of books, the most obvious choice is the new, crisp, clean volume. But that is not always the case. Sometimes the best books are ragged, stained, greasy. This is for a good reason, However. A bad book is most often only read once, if even cover to cover. No, I say, the best books are so nasty, because no one can put them down.
