Day 2: Later Afternoon, starting at 4pm, spanning into the evening

Central Square had turned green.
Selectively green, anyway. Little patches of green were laid out, and patches nice, utterly fake greenery. On the green there were tables, and on the tables there were plates being laid out by the robots, who shuttled back and forth from dispensers carrying plates piled high with what might have been sandwiches that might have been filled with synthesised protein. 100% safe for consumption, but consume at your own peril. uSUC couldn't taste its own creations, after all.
There was also the lingering smell of coffee, for nothing keeps the smell of coffee down, and the source of this became evident as AB slammed a few pots and a whole stack of cups down on one side table, grumbling all the while. And where there was coffee, of course there had to be tea.
And this being Central, of course there were oranges.
The big screen in the middle of the square was still dark, but it was dark with a sense of latent purpose and anticipation.
Everyone who hasn't gone out exploring is invited to this thread, and by invited, I mean 'I'd very much like to encourage your characters to turn up unless they're incapacitated'. Arcadia does have a plot, this is going to be a major plot event. It will be the last day 2 post, after which we'll move onto night 2 / day 3.
