I have thoroughly forsaken you for Facebook. I should probably spend some more time here, though, so that I can re-learn how to think in more than two sentences at a time.
But, I'm too lazy to do it now :P -
Rain means I don't have to water the garden
Surprisingly, the rain has not prevented my first strawberry from becoming just about ripe. I guess I will have to rig up that anti-bird netting now that I'm in danger of having tasty red berries around... if only I had any idea about how to do it neatly and effectively ( Read more... ) -

Anyone else ever clean the bathroom, and then immediately have to use it afterwards? I hate feeling like I've just undone a bunch of work :P -
Candy!
This is a bit random, but during my layover in Heathrow on the way back from Greece I had fun buying random European candy. Upon eating it back at home, I've decided that the Cadbury Twirl and Cadbury Creme Egg Twisted (basically a Cadbury Creme Egg in bar form) are very, very tasty. Ever been so tired you couldn't summon up the energy to move from your stupor on the couch and go to bed?
Yeah. Two hours later I made it as far as my computer, and the next stop is bed. -
Poll time
I filled up my car tonight (this whole car commute thing means I have to fill up EVERY WEEK. wtf), and the place I always stop happens to be full service. And all of a sudden it occurred to me that maybe I should be giving the attendant a tip. YAAAAAAAAAY MUD! And flowers.
I went to the garden center tonight, just to buy a watering can (finally) and pick up a few six packs of annuals to fill my hanging basket (it's cheaper and more fun than buying a pre-planted basket). I should have known better than to assume I'd get out of there with anything less than an entire cart's worth of goodies ( Read more... ) -

Yum
I think tonight's stir fry was tastier than usual due to my having thrown in a shallot instead of an onion (I'm out of the latter). Shallots are yummy.
Also, apparently I am a Serious Runner now, because today I got a little postcard advertisement for a San Fransisco half-marathon/marathon in the mail.
