Two days until the move back to Indiana. I'm happy to be back among friends and family and devastated that I am leaving my ex behind. Even though, at this point, my complete spazzing has made him attempt to stay the hell away as much as possible. 2 days and I'll be out of his hair for good, and I'm sure he's ready to throw a party over it. Eh, I wouldn't beat myself up too much about the ex. My personal view is that being friends with your ex is great if you can manage it, but shouldn't even be attempted until you've had at least 6 months breathing space to get some distance. If you can't manage it, well, it's experience, but hardly a failure. I just feel like what I'm hearing in this post is you feeling bad for the strong emotions you're feeling. Why is it your job to make him feel better right now? And I don't mean that in a mean spirited way but in a "Your lives are taking seperate paths now" way.
