[Looks like Green's in his office. Eevee's tail can be seen by the side of the screen, twitching occasionally. He smiles, looking relaxed.]Hey, guys

[Green smiles.] Meissa, right? Nice to see you again.
My Pokémon have made some friends there. [Under his breath, frowning:] And like hell if I'm going to let some stupid cave get the best of me.
[At the word "cupcakes," Eevee perks up and looks curiously at the screen. Behind her, Green sounds vaguely exasperated.] Eevee-
[He picks her up and scratches behind her ears, but Eevee is still looking at the paper in Meissa's hand with fascination.] Red velvet...? Never heard of it. What is it?
Perhaps if I trained her...I need to get around to that. Red velvet is a cake that a certain bakery in America pioneered, only recently they published the recipe.

...You don't train your Pokémon? [To Green, this is a statement similar to "it's snowing in July" or "pigs are flying," and his expression reflects that.]
[He peers more closely at Sitara. She does look a little pudgy.] It can't hurt to give her some exercise. She'll probably have fun.
[He sits up a little, depositing Eevee on the floor. Distantly you can hear her squeak in indignation.]
That's where Lt. Surge is from, right? Sounds interesting. Wonder if Surge would be interested, too? I'll ask him next time I see him.
I have been gathering ingredients to make my own poffins. I have heard the most effective ones are handmade rather than store-bought, though I am not entirely certain how to go about it. Practice makes perfect, I suppose.
[Behind him, King can be seen with an armful of assorted berries.]
[Green looks thoughtful.] Poffins, huh? I never got into that, really; that's more my sister's thing. [Suddenly remembering:] A friend of mine named Ethan likes making poffins, too-maybe he can...give you some tips.
[He peers at King.] Looks like you're pretty serious about it, man.
They are a part of contests, and I am serious about being a worthy coordinator. [He smiles. The Riolu dumps the berries into some kind of container offscreen and picks up a Pecha, bringing it to his nose and sniffing it curiously.]
You go there a lot. I'm curious, but if that's your training spot, I won't bother you. Although it would be kind of a return favor for six years ago if I drop by. I still have some of your stuff.
Mom sent me a message to go get a flu shot. She says it's the time of year a lot of people get sick. I guess that's a good idea. You looked miserable last time. (Huh. It was good cake though. I think I'll buy some again anyway.)
Getting out sounds good. If we meet up in south Kanto, I got a trainer traveling with me. We can show her a good battle.

I looked it up. It's near Cianwood City, right? Training on the beach sounds fun. How crowded is it?
I think the League's insurance covers it. Might as well if it's free. Not worth the risk of getting sick; I can't train my Pokémon. And mom probably won't let me have cake.
Her name is 'Marley'. I don't think you know her. She doesn't talk much. I feel bad, Green. I sometimes forget she is there. Guess I'm not used to it yet.
The caves are where I spend most of my time. It's a good place for Tyranitar and Rhyperior, and Eevee's made some friends in there. Actually, it's pretty empty. It's kind of boring sometimes. It's really not my training spot, man. [He chuckles.] I don't see why I have to pick just one place.
...I mean sure, whatever, but if you could survive three years on top of a damn mountain, you'll probably live if some kids sneeze on you.
[There's another long pause, and then a small laugh.] I didn't know you liked cake so much. Maybe you really do have a sweet tooth? I thought you were just being nice to Eevee. [His voice drops; he sounds a little sad.] Speaking of...how's Pikachu, by the way?
Marley? Never heard of her. [He laughs when he hears of your predicament.] Man, I'm sorry. You've never been good at talking to girls, have you? Maybe I'll drop by after I visit the Safari Zone.
What, couldn't just bring it to someone who knows his stuff to get it fixed? [HMMM I WONDER WHO THAT MIGHT BE] Hey, if you need someone to take it off your hands, though, pass it over! I don't need another one- haha, but that's obvious, kid- but I can see what's salvageable! Take a look at the thing, get a feel for it!
The Safari Zone, huh? Haven't been there in... in... [He seems to be pondering.] ... too long. Reminds me that I'll have to pass by one day!
Re: [video]monofamericaOctober 28 2010, 23:22:15 UTC
Sounds fair enough to me. Sure, drop it off and I'll give it a look-see! Shouldn't be too tough for me! [Yyyyeah if any gym leader in Kanto can fix it, it'd be Surge, maybe.]
New ones, huh? [ANY ELECTRIC-TYPES?? is the first thing that comes to his mind. He'll just have to work with the element of surprise.] That doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'll be seein' about that for sure!

The Whirl Islands, hmm. Sitara thinks they are somewhat creepy.
[She then holds up a sheet of paper with a recipe on it, grinning.]
I am going to attempt to make red velvet cupcakes soon! The recipe is a bit complicated, but I want to try it out.

[He watches King sniffing at the Pecha berry and a question suddenly occurs to him.] So what do you do if your Pokémon is allergic to some berries?

I wouldn't say no to a visit, though.
You? Needing a flu shot? You? Jeez, Red, don't waste your money.
....
[Green's voice sounds a little strained.] The cake was fine.
[awkward pause. Then he clears his throat. When he speaks again, he sounds...forcefully casual.]
You're traveling with someone? Hahah, anyone I know?
It'd be nice to see you again.

Actually, I think I know someone who could use it. Would you mind taking a look at it for me? I'll pay you.
Seems like they just got some new Pokémon in, so you should.
