"Not many, seeing how it is...set in space."

Yeah, it was totally fun. I couldn't stay long--what is this thing called a "day job"?--but I figured it was worth it to skip a couple of hours of work. How often do we get real, live non-political famous people out here?

It was fun! AA is, unsurprisingly, adorable in real life as well. When asked about her current ridiculous success, she was all, "Well, I can't plan too much for anything in the distant future...but I did invest all my money in shoes." (To which Robin Williams said, "Ah, the Imelda fund." Hee.)

See? Adorable!

Heh. Thanks? I figure, take the press perks when you've got 'em. Also, now I kind of feel like watching Notting Hill.

It was totally fun. I wish that I could have brought everybody I know along as guests, but a) there are no guest passes to things like this, and b) you would all have to be invisible and very, very quiet. And there are kind of a lot of you.

Check, check, double check!

I didn't get to talk to Amy Adams one-on-one, which is sad, as she is the only person I really had actual questions for. But I definitely sent her many "Hi Amy! Hi! Hi! Wanna come over and we'll braid each other's hair and talk about boys?" brainwaves. And there was eye contact, so. BFFs.

(Also: she was totally wearing a big fat diamond on her wedding finger. Desperately wanted to ask her about THAT, not that it would have been even remotely appropriate.)

Comment butting to say - the Post did a big spread on her a few months ago when Sunshine Cleaning came out - and she is engaged. She's been dating the guy for years, since before she was famous.

Ah, I figured it was something like that. Well, good for her. She seems like a nice girl, and I appreciate her ability to not be a complete psycho in public.
