Hey look, you guys! I made a website. It's boneheadedly simple, but it is done, except for the Resume portion, and I did it (with one tiny tech-support call to nicolemack). I already got one e-mail via the Contact link...from my parents. Essentially, "We have no idea why you need this, but it's great! We're so proud of you! We love you!" Hee. Next up: ( Read more... )

movies, books, technology today, chuck

Oh, Chuck. I did get one episode watched this weekend, but after tonight, I'll be two down again. Must rectify that situation. And I love the new website! It's very spiffy.

Yes! Yes, you must. Besides: Big Things happening.

And I love the new website! It's very spiffy.

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with it, if I do say so myself.

Oh! You're right! I keep remembering and then forgetting. I'm going to have to Hulu it, though--I'm not going to be home, and it's on at the same time as Chuck, and I can only Tivo one of them.

But yay! Hee, Bones.

Exciting times with Chuck Bartowski and his sexy shoulders.

I was just about to send you an "OMGEXCITING!" message because it comes on there in like an hour and twenty minutes. But then I realized that you're going to the Earth documentary, which is equally as exciting and won't see the Chuckles until after that.

But OMG. BIG! EPIC! MONDAY! IS! FINALLY! HERE!

Your web site looks great, by the way. It's simple and clean, which I am a HUGE fan of, and your bio is adorable! (Also, typewriters = love.)

I felt similarly about State of Play. I was actually enjoying it a lot until the last act. Then, I feel, it spiraled into cliche political "thriller" territory. Perhaps you can answer a question my roomies and I had: (NOTE TO OTHER READERS: IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE, CLOSE YOUR EYES.) How did he explicitly connect Robin Wright-Penn knowing about the $26,000 payments to Ben Affleck. (Other than the fact that they were spouses, which is the only thing we could figure out ( ... )

Aww, thanks! I have to admit: it came out startlingly similar to what I had in mind. So yay for that.

(Other than the fact that they were spouses, which is the only thing we could figure out.)

That's as far as I got, too. At first I was all, "Wait, RWP killed Kenneth's blind girlfriend?"...but then, no. I don't know. Bad explaining, guys!

Also, wasn't the dead associate also Mark Ruffalo's fiance on 13 Going on 30?

According to IMDB, no. But she does kind of look like her.
