haha if only I knew to be looking in the window myself, I may have seen her too! haha
Happy Easter! It's a pity the sun had to wait until today to shine, but it was lovely to have it out today anyway.
I had a great time hanging out, and I look forward to the next chance you get to visit. I need to get down to DC myself at some point! I want to see the Smithsonian in particular, and surprisingly, that's not because of Bones ;)

I can't for the life of me think of why we didn't turn around IMMEDIATELY. What was wrong with us?

1. Yes! I already have plans to come up for a couple of days (with friends from out of town) this summer, but now I'm scheming other ways to come up here more. If I get my act together and take public transit like a normal person would, it's so easy! Now I just need the time off...
2. Do come visit! You can crash at my place whenever, and we can definitely do the Smithsonian and whatever else. (OMG, the various Smithsonian museums are great. If nothing else, you need to check out the entertainment/TV section of the Museum of American History. Fun!)
ummm... my guess is that if we'd turned around, we would have become those crazy people we said we didn't want to be... and Jane would have totally seen us looking at her through the window.
Really, that just means I do need to spend a lot more time hanging in the West Village! hee
1. Awesome! Lets hope the weather will be better next time! And (once I get my apartment situation sorted out) you are totally welcome to crash at my place too!
2. Oh, that sounds like such fun! Thanks for the offer, I may just take you up on that. The entertainment/tv section is totally priority #1 :)
I hope the drive today was more relaxing than the drive up.
Is that a Presbyterian thing? We never said that in the Catholic church, and it was ALL OVER the services today at First Pres. Meant to ask you about that.
Uhhh, I don't know where it came from. We said it a little when I was younger, but it's definitely more of a Presbyterian thing than it was a Baptist thing. And I learned yesterday that you're supposed to add the "hallelujah!" to it and a bunch of other things until Pentecost (40 days from now).
The one woman looked positively scandalized that I didn't know the doxology thingy. Whatever a doxology is.
Hee! Here: doxology. My church in college used a different one with the same tune, and to this day I always panic when we sing it, like I don't know which one to pick, even though I haven't sung the other one in like six years now. (Also, for future reference, the words are: Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise Him all creatures here below; praise Him above ye, heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.)

I was trying to say this as much as possible yesterday. Isn't it kind of fun how much joy one tiny phrase can give you?
Glad to hear you had a great long weekend. I hope the trek back to work on Tuesday isn't too painful.

I really, really love saying it. It's funny.

Me, too. I want an extra day in the city! But at least it's a beautiful day for a road trip, and I can watch spring unfold as I head south. :)
