It all began on New Year's Day

How is it 2009 already? This does not sound right to me, this being nearly out of the 2000s. Not that I'm complaining, exactly; 2008 was not my best year, and I was more than ready to send it home with leftovers and hope it doesn't call soon. 2009 is shiny and new and full of promise, and I am a fan of all of those things. Welcome, 2009 ( Read more... )

Ooh, I have to remember to download photos and email them to you.

Got 'em!

Sorry for forgetting to take photos of you all gussied up *at* the party! You looked awesome. Nice dress.

Thanks! It's all good--I was thinking a picture of me in the dress in front of Brooke and Brian's window would have been pretty, but also too much of a pain. My bedroom mirror sufficed just fine. :)

Your New Year's Eve sounds fab, and you certainly look awesome in that pic.

You had better not leave DC before I can come visit you there! *stern look*

Thanks! I am maybe obsessed with the dress (though it's kind of problematic boob-wise--my existing strapless bra doesn't work with it, but I am philosophically opposed to taking the girls out IN PUBLIC unsupported. So scary! Must come up with permanent solution for future outings. Aaand you totally didn't want to know all of this.)

I'll try not to. You could come as, I don't know, a graduation present to yourself? When it is neither totally frigid nor totally, hair-kinkingly humid yet? Or...whenever. My couch/air mattress are yours whenever you want them. :)

Yay New York! I will definitely come meet you in the city sometime to do spring-like things in the spring. I'm glad you had a good time!

Whee! That sounds truly wonderful, and much more exciting than my New Year's Eve.

I'm usually a low-maintenance New Year's girl, but I've gotta admit...it was fun. Happy 2009!

Thanks! Me, too. (Though, see above re: boobage.) I hope to wear it many times.
