Hey, we should, like, have lunch or something while you're in Indy! If you have the time, that is, I don't know how busy the event you are going to is.
Yeah, $95 a night? Have you contacted any of the other places? We stayed at the Microtel suites last year, and it was fine, as I recall. Maybe they have better rates?
Also, there is housing to apply for, or, obviously, camping.
I poked at all the things that were pokeable-at from online, and didn't get a better price; most places were entirely booked up. I haven't called anyone without a website yet (this would include Microtel).
Well, REI isn't a bad place to shop for camping stuff, and you get 10% back on stuff you buy not-on-sale. Additionally, if you join (or were already a member ) you can get a 20% off any one item coupon. Tents start around $100, and there's no need for sleeping bags this time of year, I expect. Mary and I have a quarter dome or a half dome , I think.
There are showers and bathrooms and food and stuff just inside, so aside from a place to sleep, you need not provide a lot of stuff.

Though I will be there (albeit super briefly) the weekend of May 19th.
Sounds like some good plans!
