* So uh, still not very good at keeping this journal updated. I want to but I seem to draw a blank each time I'm planning on posting. :/ I think maybe part of it is my job. I love it but it also takes a lot out of me. As an introverted person, having so much contact with people just drains me of pretty much all my energy, and when I get home at the ( Read more... )

Haha.

Ja, dat zou ik eigenlijk wel moeten doen, maar ik vergeet het vaak. Of het lukt niet helemaal goed. Als je iemand weet aan wie je wat tips kan vragen, dan graag. :)

That phone has a really old Android OS on it, which will severely limit the thins you can do on it. If you have a slightly higher budget, you might want to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S2 -- it's been out for quite a while now, and with the S3 out for a year and the S4 on the horizon, it might be cheap enough for you. This phone even got an update from Samsung to the newest version of Android, so it'll last you longer. I have an S2 for two years now, and I love it.

Also, did you bind that book yourself? Which stitch did you use?

*checks the phone* Eek. That phone costs about twice as much as I'm willing to spend. XD But thanks for the comment anyway. :D I think I'll manage with an old OS though. I'm really not gonna do much on it, I think. As long as I can call, text, occasionally check Twitter when I can use free internet, and take better pictures then with my current phone, I'll be happy. :)

Yes, I did. I used the coptic stitch. I love it, because the book lies flat so nicely when opened up. :D

Heehee, hat hair looks amazing, I LOVE that you braided it :-D

I'm in awe of your doll's clothes, they are lovely (now I'm curious what they were originally wearing, will google;)

Such a creative present for your dad, cool combination of photo-art and papercutting. I adore that little LP you found too!

Dayum, you've been so busy with arts and crafts, this is a great updatey post. Hope to see you around more though, but I completely understand. *hugs* Go finish those puppets.

(Can't help you on phone or spellcheck issues, because I don't use neither;)

Hee, I couldn't resist. :P

They where both wearing bathing suit kinda outfits, so they needed proper clothes. :P (Abbey, and Lagoona.)

Thanks! I was so excited when I found those little LP's. I've been waiting for an opportunity to use them. :')

I'm really hoping I can keep up regular updates, because I def. miss the interaction. Here's for hoping. *crosses fingers*

Hey, your updates are always epic! :D

I love that candy wrapper jewelry, I have to figure out how to make those because I would SO wear those earrings :D.
The book is gorgeous - how did you make the rest of the book? I'm so curious! I'm going to assume he loved it *grin*?

Haha, thanks! :D

Aren't they awesome? Here's the link to the Youtube video I got the earrings from: Starburst Wrapper Earrings. (I used Fruitella wrappers btw. :')) Also, if you look up 'candy wrapper jewelery' on youtube, you'll find more video's. :)
I didn't take pictures while making the book, but this video shows the process pretty well: DIY Hardcover Book. :D And yeah, he did love it. :D :D
