Do all mothers have that power?

I hate the way my mother seems to be able to say the most asinine things and have them sound reasonable. She tells me I have a sick and twisted mind and that Ada and I have an unnatural relationship, than expects me to agree. She is in a marriage of who knows how many years and they spent most of that time with one or the other parent bunking out
