Ah. It was basically just a fortune telling card trick that Lockon learnt from a fellow officer when he was younger. He was all D:< WAR IS SRS BSNS but when Lockon gained more experience, he learnt that war isn't fair and not everything goes as planned and that like a game of cards, there's a lot of chance involved.
