Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. There's a lot of crud going around here, too. I hated US history in HS, too, but now I find Colonial America really fascinating.

Get her Lies My Teacher Told Me. Her teacher will hate her but she will really enjoy history.

Encourage her to research for herself any topics she plans to bring up in class. :)
