Urgh, Hurt Locker

I'm sorry but I don't see why Hurt Locker won the Best Picture award.

Yes, I've seen the movie. When it was over, I felt pretty much the same way I felt when I watched Fear and Loathing in Las VegasYes, it was a well directed, well made, very pretty movie ( Read more... )

Well I think the lack of development of the character was sort of the point, that he was trapped in hell. And Avatar is a bit on the racist side.

That Avatar may be. Of course, I don't think it should have won Best Picture either. Personally, I thought District 9 was much better than both Hurt Locker and Avatar combined and handled the the racism thing brilliantly.

And even if lack of character development was the point, I don't think that improves the movie at all. He may have liked it there in hell but that doesn't excuse a boring story line. If you can find something worth while in the movie, more power to you but I can't.
