Was reading part of Roger Ebert's review of the latest Glittering NotAVampire movie.

It's opening paragraph describes the fact that a Vampire bite is similar to losing ones virginity. Yes, that has long been the implied symbolism of Dracula. But something crossed my mind that I remembered from the time not to long ago when I suffered through ( Read more... )

ive decided to read the books.
i'm rolling my eyes every 5 minutes. (don't have sex before you're married kids! oh, and read the bible).

and they're moving really slowly.
my cousin assures me that there's some sort of grizzly vampire abortion scene in book 4, but i think she's just putting me on.

however, since i'm a stay at home mom with small kids, i've decided to write a really bad series of novels about witches and insist that the stories were inspired by songs from Muse.

Stories about Witches based on the music of Muse... isn't that Wicked? :-)

Actually, I'm sure you could write a novel that far outshines all of the current crop of Hot Topic-ish Fantasy/Horror novels I see when I go to Borders and B&N.
