Oh, wow. The flashback scene literally made my chest hurt. It was the opposite of those fics where I laugh so much I have to get up and move--it was so sad and I wasn't crying, so it had nowhere to go besides crushing my heart in an iron fist. And the rest was wonderfully angstily sweet. When I saw Nick in the hospital I thought for a moment he'd tried to kill himself... but either way, Lester was so very Lester and still so much sweeter than the Lester on the show. Did that make any sense whatsoever? Let me try to explain: I might just have to change Lester around a little in my own Primeval fic, because you just made me like him. And I like this pairing now (at least, I love this story, and if anyone else (or you again) can handle it this well again, I'd love to read more). Speaking of which, you haven't written any more of this, have you?

Thank you so much! :) I can't tell you how much it made my day that my fic affected you like that. And I'm so happy that you liked my Lester! I have a soft spot for bastards with a basically good heart, and I always categorized Lester as such. I'm glad you think I've made the pairing work - Lester especially. That was the one thing I was worried about most, their characterizations. :) And hope, I haven't yet written more, but you never know. Inspiration might strike soon...
