You would not believe how hard it is to find mead here. A Google search reveals that Costco, Whole Foods, and Safeway may carry it but availability is by locale. The nearest Costco is over 100 miles away, as is the nearest Whole Foods. I've never seen a Safeway in person in my life.

Maybe the Trader Joe's in St. Louis might have some...
