The death of one year to give way by the rebirth of another. And yet, this process is dependent on the culture, some cultures do not consider this the year of 2000.

Truly beautiful the celebration of the death and rebirth. It is how it should be when greeted with such a cycle.

[Hotaru's room is filled with lamps, some are standing, some hang from the ceiling. Crystals and glass objects catch the light and make rainbows. Shades and fabrics ensure that the room is not overbearing. Rather, it is a soft twilight.

[Hotaru was unfortunately a destructive child in her rebirth, this nasty habit has continued even during her rapid growth. Which is why the broken pieces of a plate and glass that she accidentally destroyed are being picked up.
