Just a quick update -- I'm currently strongly leaning towards getting a masters degree in counseling -- probably couples and family therapy. Yay! That is awesome.

I don't know anything about the various programs, so I'm no help to you there, but I do want to say that family therapists are really cool. Or, mine was, anyway. I guess that's a rather small sample size. But anyway, you're going to be awesome at it.
