What's the pink stuff in your pan? Microwave popcorn is just bähhhh. Can't be compared AT ALL!!!
I almost panicked today because I thought I couldn't use the TV on Saturday (hubby and son will take over because of a football game, argh) and I thought it was Eurovision weekend already...but it was just me mixing up the holidays...huff.
Dude! It's food colouring! TO MAKE COLOURED POPCORN!!!
Lol :P
Tuesday is semi-final 1 (Iceland, Denmark & Finland), Thursday is semi-final 2 (Norway & Sweden) and Saturday is the finale (Germany & the other big 5)
COLOURED POPCORN? My kids will love that...another reason NOT to have microwaved popcorn!!!
Gosh, I have to watch them all, don't I? That means I need to finish my fic this weekend, because then I can switch between one day editing (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and making icons (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) - that I can do AND do stuff on the side...me thinks. All planned out, how is that :). Go me!!!
I think I need to check all the songs out when I'm home tonight...
I've only ever had popcorn at the cinema. It's a cinema treat for me, I guess. Seeing as I only go to the cinema about twice a year, I don't have it too often. I don't think I should be allowed to make it in a pan, it'd probably explode or something. I go back and forth between sweet and salted depending on what I fancy that day, what else I've eaten, etc.
I did once try the microwave type once and five or six years later, occasionally my microwave still stinks of the burnt, rancid butter coating, despite being thoroughly cleaned many times. GROSS. Maybe the sugar one is better.
I make popcorn all the time when I have a bag of kernels in the house (and when I remember that I have a bag) - I'll make you some, someday :D
For me it's basically always salted, since that's the only kind you can get in the cinemas here, I remember how strange I found the sweet stuff when I tried it. Caramel popcorn is ok, I had some of that in the States.
first after we got our microwave (read: my family) we used to have microwave popcorn all the time, but then we remembered how awesome the stovetop version is, and didn't look back (at least I didn't)
I always had sweet at the cinema growing up, didn't try salty until I was an adult. Sweet tends to be more popular in general. I like both. :) It doesn't have like giant chunks of sugar on it or anything, it's very nice. :) Cinema popcorn is awesome. I'm going on Friday (I think) and am looking forward to some. :)
We don't have the caramel or butter versions for sale fresh like they do in the US, but you can buy bagged caramel coated popcorn which is nice if you have a sweet tooth. You can also buy chocolate coated popcorn in M&S.
They have sugar, salt and butter micro popcorn. And probably others, but I haven't bought any for years so I wouldn't know.
