Samantha Who has gotten an order for 7 more episodes, which will give it a season of 20 episodes. (It may get an order for additional episodes at a later date or this could be it. It's a toss-up.)

Kath & Kim got its back-nine/a full season order. It's like Bizarro World in tv land nowadays.

Yeah. It was hard not to see this coming given the ratings & all, but ... it just sucks when all the good press about the show is, in essence, 'the best show you're not watching'. D:

Yeah, I am honestly not surprised about PD. I haven't even watched it this season. Not that I didn't think it wasn't great in the first season, but it's a series that's novelty wears off fairly quickly. Maybe that's part of this guy's problem with series' television - he does things which are TOO quirky to sustain over a long period of time.

Heh, I was going to try & defend Fuller by arguing that 'too quirky' isn't necessarily a bad thing & that the television industry maybe just isn't ready for his work but-- the industry isn't going to change anytime soon & Fuller might just need to work his vision around what's sustainable.

I mean, I love Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me & Pushing Daisies so much so I've had my heart broken by cancellation going on three times now. :/ It's just really depressing with PD because it was doing so well with critics & the mainstream audience alike.
