Shortly after I posted the Charmed news last night, TV Shows on DVD updated with a look at the packaging & pricing for the releases.

This article about Heroes talks about Kring's focus in the coming season & how the writers' strike had at least one benefit for the show.

Timothy Olyphant has joined the cast of Damages.

LOL I was never able to get into the show, but it had more to do with my taste in genres than with the quality of the show itself. With the returning cast (Glenn Close & Rose Byrne) & the new cast (Timothy Olyphant & William Hurt), it definitely has a lot of good things going for it. :)

Well, when you put it that way, I must help. ♥

The strike really FUBARed a lot of last seaon's offerings, but there were lots of quality shows. (My apologies if any of these are shows you've already loved or hated. I just wrote what came to mind.)

Brilliant but cancelled: Journeyman, Moonlight.

Brilliant & renewed: Chuck, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies, Reaper.

My friends think it's brilliant but I've never watched: Life, Burn Notice.

And, as far as summer goes... The Middleman & Swingtown are both awesome. Flashpoint starts next month & I'm optimistic about it; it's a Canadian production & the cast is just fantastic. I haven't had a chance to watch In Plain Sight but I've heard good things about it.

That's a lot of shows, I know. *facepalm* But, on the bright side of the strike, a lot of shows only had 50-75% of a normal season so it's not as much as it could have been . :P

After hearing about Swingtown I've been kind of interested and now with that interview I'm DEFINITELY interested.

I'm definitely biased because I absolutely adore the show, but I definitely think that Swingtown is worth watching.

The acting is fantastic. The actors all really seem to enjoy themselves. The only real negative thing I've heard is that Jack Davenport's American accent is rather rubbish, but I have a tin ear so I've never noticed. :P The storylines really make the show though, as it should be. Swingtown, to me, is about what it means to be in love.
