In the forest, set a little way back from the lake, is a small pool, half-covered with floating lillies and surrounded by ruses. It's partially shaded, but the sunlight can still skitter across it's surface to warm the water. Tonio is very pleased that Teja has chosen to bring him here, and show him this lovely place.

Tonio's room looks a lot like any expensive hostel room does, back in Venice. Wooden floor, wood panelled walls, a deep stone windowsill. The bed is larger than he's used to, though, with posts at the corners and sumptuous drapes. Well. How thoroughly fascinating that had been.
