James peers at Will over breakfast with a certain degree of surprise - but between Mary's chatter, and Mrs. Stanton's constant reminders about homework, there is no chance for either to get a word in edgewise until they are standing outside by the bus stop.

Alas! For the love of Paul and the pillow is Not to Be. They are to be cruelly separated - at least the pleasant darkness of 2 AM comes again.

The agent of that separation? James Stanton, pulling Will by the wrist behind him, and announcing loudly, "We are going to have a Talk."
