James peers at Will over breakfast with a certain degree of surprise - but between Mary's chatter, and Mrs. Stanton's constant reminders about homework, there is no chance for either to get a word in edgewise until they are standing outside by the bus stop.

James looks at him, his brow furrowed.

"Well - you actually look awake this morning, and not terrified witless. Which is a good thing, I suppose."

James hears the sound of the bus coming down the road, and sighs.

James looks at him, and rolls his eyes, but grins - a real, relieved grin - and then shoulders his bag and climbs into the bus.
