I'll say it again. If we lived in a culture where polygamy was legal and encouraged, you'd be the one I'd most want as a sister wife. :)

I would make a terrible second wife as I am far too bossy, but thank you. I would have made a heck of an abbess, though!

17 & 47 intrigue me.

17 was the birthday cake I baked for Kaboone. I think I posted pictures at the time, and possibly the recipe link. If not, here it is again. http://www.food.com/recipe/doggie-bacon-chicken-layer-cake-154753. I note that doing a quick google reveals many versions of bacon and turkey or chicken cake for humans too. Mind you, the dog version tasted just fine.

Hot tamale pie was basically a casserole with meat, tomatoes, onions, mexican spices, peppers and corn topped with a cornmeal dough. It was pretty good.

I think that I need to give this idea a spin. If I push it I usually have a two week rotation (with plenty of room for deviations) but I really need to find more new favourites.

I'm into my fourth year of this challenge now, and I really like it. The only problems are that I don't have enough space in the regular rotation for all the successes, I don't always remember my sources for when I do want to go back to something (I plan to track that better this year), and I am still tempted to buy the occasional new to me cookbook despite having over 100 (200?) already - usually old community or church cookbooks, which I find fascinating as cultural/historical records..
